What will the gospel be in the tribulation?

The church at Galatia was severely affected by the false teachings of the Judaizers who wanted the believers in Galatia to follow the Law of Moses and be circumcised. Paul deals with their false doctrines and their attacks with instructions in his letter that speak boldly and with authority against these teachings, laying out sever consequences to those who skew the grace only message of the gospel. He writes,

Gal.1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

The gospel message that Paul taught is clearly identified as a message of grace alone, believing that the death of Christ was the payment for the forgiveness of our sins and that his resurrection was for our justification before God. (1 Cor.15:1-4; Eph.2:8-9, Rom.4:25). This grace gospel of faith in Christ's work alone was the power to save us, apart from the law and works, (Rom.1:16).

So, with this clear evidence and the harsh, yet justified warning of Paul, how can we consolidate the message that an angel from heaven preached to the lost people at the start of the second half of the tribulation? 

Rev.14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, 7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

The message proclaimed by this angel had nothing to do with the cross of Christ and justification by his death. Surely this angel could be accursed based on Paul's warning?

Well, no! This is not the case! The thing that we MUST take into account here is that the tribulation is altogether a different dispensation with different conditions for salvation. One MUST recognize right division here in order to understand the validity of the gospel the angel proclaimed versus the gospel that Paul preached.

Salvation in the tribulation is very different to what we know today in this grace age. The tribulation has two halves, and each half has a different context and gospel. In the first half the Kingdom period is reignited and the 144000 (like the 12 apostles as their predecessors) go about preaching Jesus Christ as Messiah, preaching works to prove ones faith, preaching endurance of faith, even unto death. In the second half, an angel proclaims God's approved condition for salvation, to fear the Lord and give Him glory. In this time, doing this simple act is a death sentence due to the fact that the antichrist is demanding every living soul to worship him alone. Any confession and allegiance to the God of Israel is sure to end in death.

In order to understand how the angel could preach a gospel so different to Paul's and not be accursed by the warning Paul wrote tells us that there are different dispensations, each having different conditions for salvation and thus providing proof that these do not contradict each other. If one does not apply right division and does not recognize dispensational changes, then there are huge problems in trying to consolidate these changes in gospel.

There is a lesson here, one we learn based on this scenario, but one we need to continue to apply to every other part of the Bible to. The most dangerous thing to do as a Bible teacher is to be scriptural, but not dispensational!
