The Cleansing River of the Word

The Cleansing River of the Word

"Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you."Jn.15:3

Imagine a traveler walking along a dusty country road in ancient Judea. The morning sun shines brightly as he sets out, his sandals clean and his heart light. But as the miles unfold under his feet, fine dirt begins to gather on his skin. Sand slips between the straps of his footwear. The dry wind sweeps fine silt across his clothes. He has not fallen into a mud pit; he has simply walked through the world. By evening, though his destination is in sight, he bears the heavy, invisible weight of a long journey's grime.

He does not need to return home and begin his life over again. He simply needs clean, running water to wash his feet and refresh his soul.

This simple picture lies at the heart of one of the most vital spiritual truths in the Bible. In Jn.15:3, Jesus stood with His disciples on the eve of His execution and spoke words of profound quiet assurance: "Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you."

He did not point them to ceremonial washings, physical rituals, or complex traditions. He pointed them to the quiet, penetrating power of the words He had spoken. The Word of God is not merely ink on paper or historic record; it is a living, active, cleansing stream designed by God to keep our inner soul pure, undefiled, and fit for His presence.

The focus is not so much on studying Acts, as it is on using the book to teach us about dispensation truths.

The Meaning of Water Baptism
in the Law and Grace Dispensations

Water baptism is a widely disputed subject in churches today and disputes can range from it not being necessary to it being an absolute requirement for salvation. Furthermore, if it is practiced, how must it be done and in what name must it be committed. Churches have been split based on peoples beliefs and so much confusion still exists regarding this subject, simply because many misunderstand the topic and do not rightly divide the truth to bring it into context and clarity.

In this post I'm not going to deep dive into a study on water baptism, but I do want to compare what it means between the law and grace dispensations and bring you to an understanding of what THE BIBLE SAYS about it and not what men's traditions say about it.
