The Examples of Paul and Titus to Boldly Proclaim the Gospel

The Examples of Paul and Titus to Boldly Proclaim the Gospel

A Call to Every Believer

Preaching is not exclusive to ordained ministers—it is the calling of every believer. Whether clergy or layman, every follower of Christ has the divine responsibility to proclaim the gospel with conviction and love. The world is filled with opposition, false teachings, and spiritual struggles, yet the gospel remains the power of God unto salvation. But for it to reach hearts, someone must speak it out.

Scripture reveals the lives of faithful men who endured immense challenges yet never wavered. Among them, Paul and Titus serve as shining examples of unwavering dedication. Their ministry was not one of ease, but of perseverance, facing obstacles that sought to silence the truth. And yet, they pressed on. Their faithfulness speaks to us today, calling us to rise, speak, and boldly proclaim God’s salvation in Christ.

Paul and Titus: Faithfulness in the Face of Hardship

Paul’s ministry culminated in two arrests in Rome, each bearing profound significance. His first imprisonment (AD 60–62) saw him under house arrest, still able to teach and encourage. Released after this period, he continued his labour for the gospel, strengthening churches and appointing leaders. This was when he penned his letter to Titus, urging him to establish order and appoint elders on the island of Crete, a land known for deception and moral corruption.

The world is in a mess, right! So, what are we to be doing about it? I hear so many ‘Christians’ saying that we need to resist the changes happening in this age and make our mark on society. I don’t know about you, but I think this is the wrong mindset! If you know Bible prophecy, you will know that what is happening in the world today is part of God’s plan. I like to say that things are not falling apart (as so many think), rather things are starting to fall into place! This gives me such hope for our Lord’s soon return.

Does God expect us to halt the immorality of man? Does God expect us to stop the rise of evil? Does God expect us to disarm the Antichrist and spoil his plans? Of course not! Again, these things MUST take place. Judgement is coming upon the world. So, what then does God expect of us?

Some practical advice
until Christ comes.

There is a dramatic and rapid change occurring in the world. The changes I'm referring to are things like weather catastrophes, geo-physical events, famines, pestilences, political, financial and social degradation, the sudden decline of humans into utter stupidity and irrational choices and behaviours, and the increase in the sciences of A.I., robotics, nanotechnology and genetics being forced upon us . Compare the beginning of 2019 with the events happening at current. It is shocking! And as drastic as it is, it is not going to slow down or subside, but rather it will continue to increase and get more intense and chaotic.
