Is Dispensational Truth Heresy? Or Is It the Key to Biblical Understanding?

Is Dispensational Truth Heresy? Or Is It the Key to Biblical Understanding?

For generations, those who rightly divide the Word have been accused of heresy. The moment we assert that the Apostle Paul was given a distinct revelation—the mystery hidden from past ages—alarm bells sound, and accusations fly. We are labelled a cult, a fringe group that negates the words of Jesus Christ. But what is the truth? Why does dispensational teaching cause such controversy? More importantly, why is it necessary to approach the Bible this way?

Why Do People Think It’s Heresy?

When someone hears a doctrine they have never encountered before, their first reaction is to question it. If their pastor or teacher has never presented the dispensational distinctions found in Scripture, it naturally sounds foreign, even suspect. The accusation often follows: “You are negating the words of Jesus!” But nothing could be further from the truth.

Jesus Himself declared: "I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel." (Matthew 15:24) "Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not." (Matthew 10:5)

Every word spoken by Jesus in His earthly ministry was in accordance with God’s prophetic plan for Israel. To recognise that Paul was later given the revelation of the mystery does not diminish Christ’s words; rather, it confirms them.

Paul—The Chosen Vessel

The first disconnect many people face is an unwillingness to accept that God gave a distinct commission to Paul. He was not one of the twelve, yet Scripture declares:

Paul is not the PROBLEM. His doctrine is the SOLUTION

Paul is not the PROBLEM. His doctrine is the SOLUTION

ONLINE COMMENT:

Paul, in attempting to teach, was dis-obeying his Master (Matthew 23:8-10) and has caused more damage to Christ's Mission and Kingdom than anyone else has because all of the "so-called" Christian religions are based on the letters of Paul and NOT on the Teaching of Christ and are therefore THE PROBLEM.

MY REPLY:

You appear to have it backwards. Most of the "so-called" Christian religions teach the Kingdom doctrine and ignore Paul. Everyone is teaching from the four Gospels and rarely venture into the truth of Paul's epistles which is actually the doctrine for the Body of Christ today.

The four Gospels and the Kingdom message that Jesus (and the 12) taught is doctrine for Israel. It is prophetic doctrine specific for the Jews and for their purpose and inheritance in the earthly, Millennial Kingdom. Notice the scriptures below that confirm that Jesus came ONLY for the Jews:

Q&A Concerning Rightly Dividing and Jesus versus Paul

QUESTION (on social media):

Why do people say "You don't have to obey Jesus because Paul said we are saved by grace?" Jesus said whoever doesn't obey his words, is building on sand. (Matthew 7:24-27) Paul was for Jesus.

MY REPLY:

ALL the words that Jesus spoke are spirit and life, Jn.6:63, but we must take note to WHOM Jesus spoke. In his earthly ministry, Jesus spoke to the Jews. His entire earthly ministry was directed to his people to save them so that Israel could be a light to the Gentiles, as prophecy describes. Jesus himself says the following,

Mat_15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. (See also Matt.10:5–6)

Please give two examples of what Apostle Paul said that contradicted Jesus Christ.

QUESTION:

Please give two examples of what Apostle Paul said that contradicted Jesus Christ.

ANSWER:

Jesus ministered the Kingdom doctrine and Paul ministered the Grace doctrine. Both these doctrines are complementary to each other in God’s greater redemption plan, but in comparing these doctrines with each other, it is here where we find contradictions, simply because the doctrine of each dispensation differs according to God’s design.

I have so many differences that I am finding it difficult to choose which ones to give you.  Let me list these three from 100’s I have.

Common disputes about grace salvation that believers have if they fail to rightly divide

Common disputes about grace salvation that believers have if they fail to rightly divide

The following is a reply to clarify the common disputes that believers have if they fail to rightly divide the scriptures. This is a classic argument of a person that mixes, or blends, all the conditions of both the Kingdom and the Grace gospels into one, confusing the matter and creating contradictions concerning salvation. Some of the objections they raise concerning my article are as follows:

  • The road to salvation has ALWAYS BEEN THE SAME .
  • We must OBEY Christ’s commands since He came.
  • Those who repent will be saved. Those who do not repent will perish.
  • The idea of being saved merely by belief in God is refuted by James.
  • Hebrews, and elsewhere, warns of falling away.
  • You HAVE TO BEAR FRUIT, You HAVE TO STAY CLOSE to God/on the vine. Or you will not be saved.
  • Revelation 3 warns that "Those who endure to the end will be saved."
  • Once saved, always saved is a heresy.
  • Not everyone who says ‘Lord, Lord’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only those who do the will of the Father.

I encourage you to read the article in full to remain sharp on what arguments and disputes people raise when they do not rightly divide and become familiar with how one can inform these people with contextually correct answers.

What is it about two programs, two agencies, two doctrines, and two destinations?

What is it about two programs, two agencies, two doctrines, and two destinations?

I want you to spend a bit of your time considering these two bible passages, when you have a quiet moment to contemplate them.

Read them carefully and attentively and see if you can spot the points of interest that I highlight in the small list below.

First, read the passages....slowly 😉
