The slow progressive deception of lies
Psa.1:1-2 "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. (2) But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night."
Notice the Progression...
1. Walketh (The Counsel / Listening / Influence)
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly
Walking implies movement and direction. When you walk in the counsel of the ungodly, you (in essence) are passing through, listening to their advice, or letting their way of thinking influence your direction. It is a casual, initial stage where you are moving along with the crowd.
2. Standeth (The Way / Lingering / Adapted)
nor standeth in the way of sinners
Standing means you have stopped moving. When you stand in the way of sinners, you are no longer just passing through—you now linger. You have taken a position on their path, adopted their lifestyle, and are now comfortable spending your time there.
3. Sitteth (The Seat / Settled / Identify / Agree)
