The Fundamentals of the REAL Gospel

When we share the grace gospel today, we must be careful how we present it. It is important to note that the grace gospel is not only the truth that the Lord died and rose again, but far more importantly, it is that the Lord died FOR OUR SINS and that his resurrection was FOR OUR JUSTIFICATION. This detail is of great importance, as the basis of our faith should rest specifically in the underlined statements above.

You see, it is easy to confess that Jesus died on the cross! Even the unbelieving world can confess that Jesus died in this manner! Is it not historical fact? Indeed! But, please note that these people who believe in this 'historical fact' are not saved by this form of belief. There is no 'power' in the shallowness of historical fact. The power in the message, Rom.1:16, and what saves a soul is to come to the knowledge and conviction that Christ died FOR YOUR SINS, and to understand not only that He rose again on the third day, but to be convinced that His resurrection IS THE SEAL AND APPROVAL OF YOUR JUSTIFICATION! This is faith that is personal! This is a message that cuts deeper than bone. This is a gospel with meaning and is far more significant!

1 Corinthians 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Romans 4:25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

Let us be careful with our words and make sure not to water down the gospel by leaving out the details that distinguish it from simply mere facts.
