The Bible provides several explicit teachings on how to live like Christ. Here are some key principles and instructions:

Love God and love others: Jesus taught that the greatest commandments are to love God with all your heart, soul, and mind, and to love your neighbour as yourself (Matthew 22:37-40). This emphasis on love is foundational to living a Christ-like life.

Follow Jesus' example: Jesus is the perfect example of how to live a righteous and holy life. Believers are called to follow His footsteps, imitate His actions, and adopt His attitudes (1 Peter 2:21, Philippians 2:5-8).

RESPONSE TO SUCH IGNORANCE

The above commentary is fairly typical of people out there who respond to doctrine and bible studies through arrogance and immaturity. They are the 'know-it-alls' who themselves have closed their hearts and minds to sound instruction and correction. Beware of the advice and vanity they post. Always compare scripture with scripture and ensure you have scriptural proof of any comments and opinions before taking it to heart and setting your faith upon it.

The four gospels are a continuation of the Old Testament, and it is all about Israel and the promised Kingdom. So, why then is Paul suddenly writing to the Gentiles in Romans? By the way, who is Paul anyways? Where did he suddenly come from? Well, you are not going to learn this in the Gospels! Acts is a transitional book recording the fall of Israel, the conversion of Paul, and why God turned to the Gentiles. Something very big happened in the book of Acts!

When Jesus was on the earth He said, “I'm not sent but to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” When he sent out his 12 disciples, He said, “Go not to any city of the Gentiles, neither go unto the Samaritans, but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” Now look at how Acts ends. Paul, in Acts 28:28 says, “Be it known therefore unto you that the salvation of God is sent to the Gentiles, and they will hear it.”

In connection with our salvation, our works regarding obedience to Christ must reflect that which is dealt with in James. So, while we put faith in Christ’s work on the cross, that faith is meaningless without good works. Literally your faith is dead. Dead faith is of no value whatsoever and will not, and cannot, be used to meet the condition to receive grace.

I’m glad that you raise this very interesting point as it is a crucial, yet a very overlooked detail in the scriptures. I do want to respond on what you say about faith. Have a careful look at these three scriptures:

Eph 2:8-9  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  9  Not of works, lest any man should boast.

In this ultra-short, yet dynamic scripture passage, Paul provides us with a significant amount of detail concerning the truth of our salvation. Let’s look at each key word and allow them to simply overwhelm us with gratitude.

By Grace

Grace is the pure kindness and empathy of God that allows us to receive blessing and favour we certainly don't deserve. That blessing and favour is in Jesus Christ. I cannot even start to pen the magnitude of this salvation act of God. Yes, it is a work of God, in which we have no part to contribute. We can do nothing to earn or deserve salvation. It starts with acknowledging our absolute dependency on God, then releasing ourselves utterly into His control, and being overcome by His ‘grace’. Paul uses these words to further emphasize the point,

The Two Programs in God's Plan of Redemption

The following post is in response to a person asking what the two different programs in the Bible are and provide scriptural references to distinguish them.

Let me answer this question by first stating that it is of great importance to know these two programs and keep them separate. Most of the false doctrine in church denominations today is in direct cause to ignoring these two programs or blending the two programs together to create skewed doctrine in the imagination of men.

The differences between the two ministries are found in the contradictory statements in Paul's letters versus scriptures in the rest of the bible. These contradictions are not inaccuracies in the bible as some suggest. They also do not disprove Paul's apostleship. They are simply two separate programs that God initiated within His greater plan of redemption of creation and humanity.
