Two biblical doctrines given at two separate times for two different purposes.

When one studies the bible, cross referencing scripture and comparing verses between Paul’s writings and the rest of the bible, the evidence is overwhelming that the risen Lord Jesus Christ revealed to Paul a completely different doctrine from that which was written in the prophets. In this short post, I simply want to highlight one glaring piece of evidence, out of a myriad of others, to bring your attention to the fact that we need to know and understand these different doctrines and interpret the bible in accordance with this understanding.

The first two verses below inform of knowledge given since the creation of the world. The latter three speak of knowledge that was kept secret (or hidden) since the creation of the world. There can be no objection to the timing within these statements. Prophecy was given since the world began, but Paul’s mystery doctrine was kept secret at that time, and only written about and taught when it was revealed to Paul.

Did Paul’s doctrine contain a different message as opposed to the prophets? Yes! But the message content is not the purpose of this post. That can be analyzed at another time. The purpose of this post is simply to point out that God revealed content other than the prophetic content concerning Israel. If you can recognize this and delve deeper into this, studying why, and what its content was, you’d start to discover that there are two different doctrines, for different times, and different people groups. When you understand this, I’ll welcome you into a whole new view of the Bible, a dispensational view in which you rightly divide scripture and find its true context. I pray the prayer of Paul over you regarding this truth; “that God may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, that the eyes of your understanding be enlightened;” Eph 1:17-18, Amen.

Spoken since the world began

• Luk 1:68-70  Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,  69  And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David;  70  As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began:
• Act 3:20  And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: 21  Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

Kept secret since the world began

• Rom 16:25  Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, 26  But now is made manifest,
• Eph 3:9  And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
• Col 1:25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; 26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
