As believers today, our walk is by faith, not by the physical senses

Faith is the route by which all spiritual blessings come into our lives. God has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Paul writes, “Col 3:1  If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.” We must understand that we can't see them with our physical eyes, we can't hear them with our physical ears, and we can't seek them with our natural senses.

So, how do we seek things that we can't sense with the natural man? How do we see those things and take hold of those things? It’s by the Word of God. We see them, and obtain them, through faith.

In Romans 5:5 Paul says, “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” How does the Holy Ghost shed God's love abroad in our hearts? Is it a feeling? Do we just close our eyes and see if we can feel that love being shed abroad in our hearts?

Let me tell you something. Let me share this principle with you. Religion seeks to go after your senses! Religion attaches itself to the sensual man, the natural man. Religion simulates spiritual blessings in the natural realm, drawing people into its lies with what they see, hear, touch, smell, and taste. It’s the enemy that flatters you with big and elaborate things, making them beautiful, putting on shows that sound good, that look spiritual, that whip up the emotions, and draw you in with feelings and imaginations.

The Word says this about the Spirit of God, “1Cor 2:9  But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” It also says, “1Cor 2:14  But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”

The Spirit of God did not come to move your emotions or your senses. That's how Satan operates. The devil is going to use the natural man to make you doubt the bible. Consider this. Paul said, “Gal 3:27  For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.” Now, look in a mirror and try to believe that! We're baptized into his death and our old man is crucified with him. Can you see that in a mirror? Can you discern that with your natural senses. No. You can't do it. So, the question is, what will we believe at this point? The natural man or the Spirit of God?

Religion is always going to target the natural man. The Spirit of God will always home in on the inner man. When you hear people say, I feel this, or I sense that, or I hear a voice saying this or that, it is not the Spirit of God! The Holy Spirit is doing a work on a level that you can't detect with the natural senses. When it comes to the things of God, today, in this age of grace, we operate in the realm of faith. Might something manifest in the natural. Sure. God might just honour a prayer request in His wisdom and desire, but for the majority of the time, our blessings are spiritual, and our answers are by the sufficiency of His grace.

How is God doing his work today? He operates through His Word, and we receive it through faith. Our blessings, our providence, our understanding, our supply, our hope, and everything else we trust God for, in this time of grace, is answered in the realm of faith and spirit. Do you want a manifestation of God in the natural realm? Well, here is what you can trust in. Through faith the Word takes root and does it’s work in your inner man. The manifestation of that spirit work, as you allow it to influence you, at some point in time, will start to manifest out of this outer man, bringing forth fruit unto God. This is the tangible work of God manifesting in the world today, and this is the true operation of the Spirit that you can enjoy.
